The Stumbling Block

Revolutionary Thoughts That Challenge the Mindset of the Religious World

RiverWind Spider -

I know that this might be covered under the other thread, but I know you also wrote a book so I'm not sure what they meant. I just watched your full length movie and I gotta tell you it was awesome and I was really impressed. I hope you don't mind if I feature it on the WebMedia section of a website I'm currently working on - you can see it here, http://www.rontu.hyperphp.com.

I know that you got some negative reactions to that vid about maybe including too much personal stuff and whatnot, but I gotta tell you I could really identify with it, and your story about your dogs was just very touching. I also want to say that I don't think that the film would have been the same without the personal stuff, it gives it foundation and gives people time to identify with you as a character before you get into anything really controversial. I think telling a story in the first person is a great tactic in getting people to listen to controversial ideas that they may not have otherwise. I think that was a great strategy, intentional or not.

I could go on and on about how great that was, but I figure I'll go wear myself out telling other people instead of you since you must already know. Of course good work can always use compliments. Love the sense of humor too!

I totally appreciate that. I don't know how much criticism I've gotten for personal stuff, but I can tell you that if I'm getting slammed for that, the book only has much more... so I guess they can keep it coming. I do it not just to personalize it, but to show what it means to stand without any shame of self whatsoever, since it's usually shame that they use to keep people silenced. We have to lose that shame before we can stand. Gotta stand in the mirror, look at all the "ugly" that they'll laugh at, and learn to be proud of it. Can't shame the unshamable.

Oh, absolutely... feel totally free to put the film anywhere and everywhere you feel fit. I thank you for that as well.

I'm flattered and thank you, in fact, for doing so. By all means, spread it all around! I totally appreciate that! Hell, when I finally get a Podcast thing going on here, hopefully, you can help me on it as a guest... maybe a cohost or something. We shall see.

I'm still in the middle of the move from Arizona back to Georgia where I belong, so forgive me guys if I'm slow to respond as of late. This is starting to be reeeeeally frustrating... but it'll be okay, cuz I'm surrounded by my people back on my own landbase, and all's gonna be wellz.
